What is PUMP60? The 60-Minute Fitness Methodology Explained
By Tech-D Enterprises ยท
PUMP60 is an interval strength training app that builds timed workouts of 15 to 60 minutes. You say how long you have, what equipment is around you, which areas you want to train and what you're training for. It builds a session to fit, and runs the clock while you lift.
On the Coach plan, Lindsey, an AI voice coach, runs the session with you out loud. This page explains how a session is put together and what it takes into account.
What a session looks like
Every session has three parts. It opens with a warm-up of about four minutes, chosen for the areas you're training: marches, leg swings and air squats for legs, arm circles and shoulder rolls for upper body. Then come the work blocks. It closes with a cool-down of about three minutes of stretching and slow breathing.
You pick the length: 15, 20, 30, 45 or 60 minutes. The 60 in the name is the full hour, the longest session. Shorter sessions keep the same shape with fewer blocks.
How the work blocks are built
For a strength goal, each block is one lift done for straight sets: 3 to 5 sets of 5 to 10 reps. Each set stops about two reps short of failure, and the rest between sets is two to three minutes. The app turns that into a timed sequence of sets and rests, so the clock tells you when the next set starts.
For a tone goal, blocks are timed intervals instead. The weight is one you could lift 15 to 20 times or more, the pace is quicker, and the breathers are 20 to 30 seconds. A balanced goal sits between the two.
What it takes into account
Your equipment, from a full gym down to bodyweight only. Your experience: beginners are steered away from high-skill lifts such as barbell back squats, conventional deadlifts, overhead presses, cleans and box jumps, towards goblet squats, Romanian deadlifts, dumbbell presses and machine rows.
Your injury notes, if you give any. The build avoids exercises that load the areas you asked to protect, and flags any block that might. Your recent sessions, too: each new build steers away from the exercises you did in your last few workouts.
Your weights. When you hit your target reps at the same weight in two sessions within two weeks, it suggests about 5% more next time, between 2.5 and 10 pounds. A dumbbell goes up to the next size on a standard rack. A set you had to drop the weight on resets the count, so a hard day never earns a heavier one.
Where the voice coach fits
Lindsey is real-time AI, not a recording and not a person. On the Coach plan she joins the session, calls your weights, answers what you say, and coaches you between sets. If you tell her a weight is too heavy or your shoulder is complaining, she can change the plan.
Coach includes 120 minutes of live coaching a month. Lindsey stays on the line through rests and between blocks and hangs up mid-set, so a 60-minute strength session uses about 50 of them: two full sessions a month. Elite's six hours covers seven.
What PUMP60 is not
It isn't medical advice and it isn't a human trainer. The workouts are generated by AI from the details you give, so stop any exercise that hurts and check with a professional before starting if you have a health condition. PUMP60 is for adults: it asks your age before you can train.
What it costs
Free gets you 3 AI-built workouts, the full interval timer and the exercise library, with no card. Standard is $9.99 a month for 10 AI-built workouts a day and progression tracking. Coach is $24.99 a month and adds Lindsey. Elite is $79 a month and covers seven 60-minute strength sessions a month with her.
Questions
Is every PUMP60 workout an hour long?
No. You choose 15, 20, 30, 45 or 60 minutes, and the session is built to fit. The full hour is the longest option.
Do I need a gym?
No. Tell it what you have: everything, a barbell rack, machines only, dumbbells only, or no equipment at all. The session uses only that.
Is Lindsey a real person?
No. She's real-time AI: she hears what you say and answers in the moment. The voice runs on Vapi, with speech and language models from ElevenLabs and OpenAI.
Can I try PUMP60 for free?
Yes. A free account comes with 3 AI-built workouts, the interval timer and the exercise library, and you don't need a card.
No card. 18+.
